Tally Export

Exports your journal entries (Chart of Accounts ledger movements) for import into Tally.

✅ CSV Export — recommended

One row per ledger line, with Debit and Credit as separate columns — no ambiguity, works with Tally's own CSV/Excel voucher import tool, or your accountant can bring it in by hand. This is the safe, reliable option.

⚠️ Tally XML — native import, verify before trusting
Tally's XML format encodes debit/credit as one signed amount plus a flag (ISDEEMEDPOSITIVE) rather than two separate columns like the CSV does. That sign convention is exactly the kind of thing that, if backwards, silently flips every debit and credit — and I can't verify it against a real Tally instance from here. Import a small test batch (2-3 entries) into a test Tally company first and check the resulting ledger balances match before trusting this on real data. If anything looks flipped, the CSV export above is the safe fallback.
